Tesla's strategy to achieve its vision is to increase the number of electric vehicles available to mainstream consumers in three ways: by selling its vehicles through company-owned showrooms and online by promoting its patented electric powertrain components to various automakers to stimulate electric vehicle interests catalyze illustrating how fun and socially responsible driving can be (Logan, 2011). Tesla's vision statement is to contribute to creating the most compelling car company of the 21st century by driving the world's transition to electric vehicles (Rowland, 2018). The leadership orientation has set up Tesla's organizational structure, culture, and other elements to align with the mission, vision, and goals of the company while achieving its organizational mission, vision, and objectives (Karamitsios, 2013). As of 2021, Tesla has a net worth of approximately $158.5 billion, placing it among the most valuable car company globally (Forbes, 2021). Tesla's main products consist of electric vehicles such as Model S, 3, X, Y, and solar roof and panel technology (Tesla, 2021). Today, Tesla manufactures all-electric vehicles, clean energy generation, and storage products (Tesla, 2021). In 2004, Elon Musk contributed more than $30 million and was seated as the chairman (Schreiber, 2013). Eberhard formed Tesla in 2003 with the intent to develop an electric sports car. ![]()
